Ho Ho Ho!!!

Merry Christmas from the Petersen family!!! Our Christmas was filled with lots of fun surprises!!! First, Paul, my youngest brother surprised us when he arrived from Kansas for Christmas. We hadn't seen him for almost a year and so we were really excited about his arrival. We also had a wonderful time at the DeHart Christmas Party! Uncle Dennis outdid himself with a dutch oven dinner to die for!!! It was the highlight of the night...but then we also had stories and games and fun craft projects for the kids! It was a really enjoyable time!

Santa also came to visit us early! Rodney, Kevin's father, celebrated his 84th birthday just a week or so before Christmas and we received a special surprise visit from Santa! He brought lots of gifts for all the good boys and girls and we got to sit on his lap and get a candy cane too! The boys were so excited to follow him out and find reindeer poop on the sidewalk! They will remember Santa, but they will never forget the reindeer poop!!!

Christmas was so fun this year! Kyle wanted to open everyone's gifts and Ryan wanted to play with all of them... so it worked out perfectly!!! The boys got new,"big boy" beds!!! Kyle got a twin size Spiderman bed and Ryan got a toddler race car bed! It seemed to be the highlight of their morning! Kevin got a new DVD burner, a BBQ, and TIVO. Yeah! (Notice that these are all toys....eck-hum!) Stephanie got the best present of all... her new Honda Odyssey back! (We had been in an accident on the 8th and the front end got destroyed! A man made a left-hand turn in front of us and there was nothing I could do to avoid him! Fortunately, all four children in our car were literally taken care of and only Kyle had a little scratch on his neck from the car seat straps. We were so blessed! But the two weeks without our car were difficult ones!!! It is amazing how dependent on that car we had become in only seven months!!! The accident was totally covered by the other guy's insurance and we even got four new car seats out of the deal! We were just so grateful that we were so blessed and protected!!!!)

Stephanie also got a Jack LaLanne juicer!! Yippee!!! So if anyone wants to come over for a fresh glass of any kind of juice imaginable, the invitation stands!!!! Kevin will have to plant an even bigger garden for me this year!!! We are going to grow our own "juice supplies"! YEAH!!!

Personally, I am not ready for the holiday season to be over! I loved going out almost every night, as a family, looking at the Christmas lights all over Orange County! We had a blast and the boys absolutely loved seeing all the lights too! I will miss those family night excursions for another whole 11 months! And the Christmas tree! Oh, I can't bear to take it down yet! I could put valentines all over it for February and clovers for March, etc.... Hmmm... tempting!

Anyways, we hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and we loved getting everyones letters. We will soon have ours ready and we will get those in the mail sometime in January (that is our goal anyways!!!) so keep an eye out for the latest Petersen Family Letter!

Also check back to this site and we will keep you updated on the most recent news each week!

We love you all! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Love, the Petersens

After Christmas, we are not seeing red, but "blue, blue, blue"!!!

For Christmas we announced to our families that we are once again expecting a new addition to our little family! Sometime around April 28th we will welcome "Tyler" to our family. The boys picked that name out together the night we told them they were going to have a little brother and they will not hear of any other possible name. So I guess "Tyler" it is! We are excited about another boy... we know how to do boys!!! We have all boy stuff!!! We are set!!! Another boy will be a welcomed addition!

Our families were excited too, but surprised, that we had kept this little secret such a secret for so long. But now they wont have so long to wait!!!

Anyways, we will keep you updated on the news of our little addition... Stay tuned!!!

Welcome to our new website!!!

After weeks of spending his nights in front of this computer... Kevin created this awesome new site for our little family so that we can communicate better with our friends and family long distance. Our goal is to write at least one entry each week to update you on the happenings of our family! We will try to make each one interesting (although that statement alone puts the pressure on!!!)! But we are excited to share our news and we felt this was a really fun and easy way to do so. We hope you will respond once in a while and send us a little message back! We hope you like this website! HAPPY NEW YEAR, from the Petersens!!!
